SPML-SAML Gateway

1.	How does SPML or SAML Gateway work with AD or other IAM's in my enterprise?
	Apere SPML or SAML Gateway can be deployed on premises in appliance or VM or enterprises. SPML-SAML gateways talks to enterprise Active Directory or IdM solutions like Oracle, Tivoli to gather changes in user groups. This information is used to provision the users in externally hosted applications.

	Yes, SPML-SAML Gateway from Apere can extend the Single Sign-On, Provisioning of users to enterprise IdM's to non-SAML applications also. SPML-SAML Gateway from Apere uses different technologies to Single Sing On, provision users to SaaS Applications.

3.	How does Zero-Day Access Control work with SPML-SAML gateway?
	When users are disabled in Active Directory or enterprise IAM', Apere SPML-SAML gateway reads these changes and rolls out to the external applications automatically. SPML master, client configurations are supported to initiate instantaneous action. All the user changes are document for compliance reports

4.	Is there a centralized portal for enterprise administrator to manage SaaS User Access control?
	Yes, SPML-SAML gateway from Apere provides a Portal for enterprise administrator to view and control access to SaaS Applications. Administrators can also generate usage reports, or restrict users using this interface

5.	Is Single Sign-On Part of the SPML-SAML Gateway solution?
	Yes, when a user is provisioned into the externally hosted application SSO is enabled. SPML-SAML Gateway can be configured to validate the user with enterprise authentication platforms like Active Directory or Internal LDAP.

6.	Can the SPML-SAML Gateway track number of active SaaS Users for license subscriptions?
	Yes, SPML-SAML Gateway from Apere does track the number of active users using the SaaS application, when they have accessed, who authorized the provisioning of users, when their passwords were reset. It can also provide a list of unused licenses so the enterprises can optimize the license distribution.

When an enterprise user tries to access an external application like salesforce.com, web access gateways are configured to talk to SPML-SAML gateways from Apere to automatically log the user into these applications.
